Missoula Community Theatre Presents...
“You have brains in your head, and feet in your shoes! You can steer yourself any direction you
choose!” These inspirational words of Dr. Seuss invite you to steer yourself to the Missoula Community
Theatre (MCT) for the musical Seussical, Dec 5-22 at the MCT Center for the Performing Arts.
Based on the works of Dr. Seuss, Seussical is the brainchild of Monty Python’s Eric Idle and the award-winning
composing team of Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens.
Narration by the ubiquitous Cat in the Hat and the mischievous Thing 1 and Thing 2 effortlessly weave together the stories of some of Seuss’ most endearing characters. Director Andy Meyers comments that although a musical featuring all the bright characters from the world of Dr. Seuss might initially appeal to a younger audience, Seussical is a treasure of entertainment for persons of all sizes. “The music is infectious…and while the overall story is fun, bright and energetic, there is also tremendous heart and many important messages about acceptance and family.”
Hello from Homeword!
We are excited to continue to bring the Rent Wise Workshops to you, our partners, rather than hosting them exclusively at Homeword! We are happy to meet with your clients in a location that works best for them and you, the organizations that support them! We have openings for the next few months, which are listed below. We have some flexibility with the timing, as long as we have ample time to schedule ahead. If you want to “host” a class, but don’t have classroom space we are happy to have you here in the Solstice Conference room for no charge.
This class will address credit, as it relates to a person’s ability to successfully apply to be a renter. Katie Sadowski, our Financial Education Coordinator, will cover in-depth information about how credit is reported, as well as how to check, review and improve credit scores. Then, she will discuss how to communicate with potential landlords regarding credit as a potential barrier to renting. This communication example can be then utilized to communicate about other rental barriers, such as no or poor rental history or previous convictions.
