PAWS team members are responsible for ensuring the pets and people we serve receive exceptional and enriching care. The duties of this position include providing daily pet care (enriching, cleaning, feeding, monitoring), match-making and performing pet adoptions, performing pet intake interviews and exams, placing special needs pets and, above all, practicing the humane treatment of all animals.

Garden City Harvest seeks a Summer Associate for Youth Harvest Project, a therapy-based, service-oriented work program for at-risk teenagers. We are looking for 6-8 part-time Club Staff to serve as a staff member to one of our three age groups (approximately 30-40 Club Members per day). Club Staff (CS) are integral members of the Summer Club staff team. S/he will support with providing high-quality, engaging, and fun programming to our members during all nine weeks of Summer Club.

Critter Camp Counselor

Camp Counselors are responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safety of kids ages 7-11, and one smaller session with a 12-14 year old group. Counselors will also be working with cats and dogs residing at the shelter. Counselors lead daily activities, art projects, games, animal care for "camp" pets and more. Camp is fast-paced and counselors must be energetic, reliable and love working with both kids and pets. Day camps run Tue-Fri from about 8-4pm.

Work with the communications team to tell the many stories of Garden City Harvest through written story, video, and social media. This is a great opportunity to develop storytelling skills, work with a fun and creative bunch, and help shine a light on the amazing work happening daily at our farms and gardens.

Directs and supervises all aspects of the daily functioning of a group home. Schedules shifts and monitors record-keeping and treatment plans. Provides clinical treatment to all residents and administrative input to the program’s management team Evaluates staff performance. Under the supervision of the Director and the Therapist: Provides clinical treatment to all residents Disciplines staff as needed.
