Managing a nonprofit can be challenging.  From board development and personnel, to fundraising and evaluation, properly managing a nonprofit is essential to progressing and fulfilling its mission.

MNA offers organizational development opportunities and resources to help. We start with widely accepted standards and practices in our Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence in Montana and support these standards with numerous tools and resources to help your nonprofit function more efficiently, effectively, and be more accountable.

From deeply reported stories on the big ideas that shape the work of charities and foundations to the practical guidance in our online resource center, only the Chronicle of Philanthropy provides nonprofit professionals, foundation executives, board members, and others with the indispensable information and practical advice they need to help them change the world.

Their news and opinion pages fuel the national conversation about the role nonprofits play in society. The Chronicle’s special reports, benchmarking data, and popular webinars are essential information for nonprofit professionals. Decision makers at four in five of the largest and most influential charitable organizations in America read the Chronicle to advance their missions.

BoardSource is the recognized leader in nonprofit board leadership and supports, trains, and educates nonprofit leaders from across the country and throughout the world. With almost three decades of experience, BoardSource provides leaders with an extensive range of tools, resources, and research data to increase board effectiveness and strengthen organizational impact. It also serves as the national voice for inspired and effective board leadership.

The Nonprofit Quarterly (NPQ) is an independent nonprofit news organization that has been serving nonprofit leaders, charitable foundations, educators, independent activists, and others involved in the civil sector for more than fifteen years. NPQ’s guiding philosophy is that an active, engaged, and sometimes disruptive civil sector is critical to a healthy democracy in the same way that a free and independent press is.
