Wild Montana and Wild Montana Action Fund

Compensation: $60,832 to $71,567 (depending on experience); generous benefits include fully paid health & dental insurance with Health Saving Account contributions, a matching Simple IRA retirement plan, 20 days of personal leave per year, 12 days of sick leave per year, 15 paid holidays, and flexibility in work schedules including a four-day work week.

Position Summary:
The organizing director is an energetic and detail-oriented team leader creating and driving engagement and community organizing strategies that build broad-based and targeted support for our organization and priorities. They design and execute campaigns to build power and support policy campaigns. They work with staff, volunteers, supporters, partner organizations, and the general public.

This position provides strategic, supportive leadership to a statewide team of field organizers by establishing a cohesive, positive team approach and leading by example. The organizing director will facilitate learning and problem-solving. They work with policy, communications, and development campaign leads to identify organizing needs and opportunities and manage their team to provide the support necessary for our campaigns to succeed. They directly oversee the day-to-day operations of field organizers who conduct outreach to communities and individuals, engage in fundraising tactics, build grassroots support, and represent the organization in support of its objectives.
