Family Housing Center Support Specialist

The Family Housing Center team provides support through short-term emergency shelter in the Missoula Family Housing Center, case management and rental assistance for unhoused families to find and maintain safe, stable housing and achieve self-sufficiency. The ideal candidate is passionate about the mission of the YWCA and has one year experience working with domestic violence, sexual assault, or homelessness (preferred), has the ability to maintain confidential information, has the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of individuals, including clients, peers and supervisors. This staff member coordinates and completes intakes with participants, including orientation and explanation of policies, maintains participant files, assists participants with community resources as needed, and assists participants with housing search.
